纺织和服饰是民生之本，在近现代为我国工业的腾飞作出巨大贡献，如今已融入当代科技发展的洪流。纤维、纱线、织物、染整、服装……构成现代纺织服饰产业链，其产品应用渗透到医疗、建筑和航空航天等各领域，有力地支撑了国民经济发展和国防建设。本馆以动静结合的展示形式，辅以高科技展示手段和互动展项，展示纺织服饰领域的产业链及其特色环节，普及纺织科技和服饰文化知识，引领参观者走近纺织和服饰，走进纺织和服饰。

As the basic means of livelihood, textile and clothing have contributed a great deal to the industrial take-off in modern China and remained a branch in the powerful currents of contemporary scientific development. Now fiber, yarn, fabric, dyeing and finishing ，etc. have formed a contemporary textile and clothing production chain. Textile and clothing products have been widely applied to many fields, such as medicine, architecture and aerospace, offering vigorous support to national economic development and national defense. Supported by high-tech demonstration methods and interactive programs, this Section combines displays with dynamic demonstrations to present the whole production chain and characteristics of textile and clothing, disseminate knowledge of textile technology and clothing culture, and invite visitors to have a close contact with textile and clothing.
